365 Add Email Alias to Azure AD Connect Synchronized User

  • Active Directory Users and Computers
    • Open the Attribute Editor tab of the user
    • Find the proxyAddresses attribute
    • Add the alias email address prefixed with ‘smtp:’ (lowercase)
    • **NOTE** The user’s primary address should start with ‘SMTP:’ (yes, uppercase)
