Symptoms

Cannot login to Lync

Problem

Expired communication certificate

Solution

Start > type mmc.exe > File > Add or Remove snap-ins: > Certificates > My user account > Finish > OK > Certificates – Current User > Personal > Certificates > delete the Communications Server certificate with Issued to as the user’s email address. > Exit and re-open Lync
